How to Create NFT on Kalp Studio

Step 1: Accessing NFT Creator

1. Log in to Kalp Studio.

2. Locate the Kalp DLT Developer Portal card and click on the Go To Kalp DLT button. You'll land on the Kalp Studio Dashboard.

3. On the Dashboard, scroll down to the Our Products section.

4. Find the NFT Creator module and click Get Started.

1. If you haven’t subscribed yet, you’ll be redirected to the Billing tab.

2. Select the Developer Plan ($0) to subscribe.

1. Once subscribed, NFT Creator will appear in the Your Subscriptions list.

1. Return to the Dashboard, locate NFT Creator again under Our Products, and click Explore.

1. You’ll now land on the NFT Portfolio page.

2. If no NFTs have been created yet, you’ll see the message “No NFT yet!”

3. A +Create NFT button will be visible in the center of the page.

1. If your wallet is not connected to NFT Creator, click +Connect Wallet at the top-right of the page to connect your wallet first.

Note: If your wallet isn’t connected, you won’t be able to create an NFT. For help, refer to the How to Connect Wallet article.

Step 2: Create a New NFT

1. Click on + Create NFT to open the creation form.

Fill in the following fields:

• Upload Media Upload your main NFT file. Supported formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, DOCX, PDF, MP4, WEBM, MP3, WAV, OGG, GLB (Max size: 100 MB).

• Name Your Creation Enter a unique name. Field validations appear as you type.

• Catalog Selection Choose from existing catalogs or create a new one.

• Description Add a description to explain the purpose or story behind your NFT.

• Asset Properties (Optional) Add key–value metadata for your NFT (e.g., Color: Red, Genre: Classical). You can add at max 6 properties to your NFT with max character length up to 15 chars.

1. Once all fields are complete, click the Create button at the bottom of the form to finalize your NFT.

Step 3: Create a New Catalog (Optional)

1. If you choose to create a new catalog during NFT creation, click on the Create New Catalog button.

1. A pop-up form will appear.

Fill in the following details:

• Upload Cover Image Add a thumbnail image to visually represent your catalog. Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP (Max size: 5 MB)

• Name Your Catalog Enter a name that best describes the catalog’s theme or purpose.

• Description Provide a short description for your catalog.

1. Click the Create Catalog button at the bottom of the form.

After submission, a notification will appear saying: “Catalog creation started! It may take a few minutes to appear in the catalog listing.” Your newly created catalog will then become selectable in the NFT creation form.

Step 4: Minting Confirmation

1. Once you’ve filled in all the required details for your NFT and clicked on the Create button, a confirmation popup will appear, stating: "The platform requires to mint the asset and metadata on Blockchain now to create your NFT. Please approve this transaction to continue."

2. Click Confirm to proceed. This initiates the blockchain transaction for minting the NFT.

Step 5: Approving the Transaction through Wallet

1. After confirming, a wallet interface will open, displaying the estimated gas fee required to mint the NFT.

2. Review the Estimated fee and Total amount to ensure the transaction cost is acceptable.

3. Click Confirm in your wallet to authorize the transaction. This will complete the minting process on the blockchain.

4. A success message will appear saying, “Your NFT has been created successfully” with ‘View NFT’ button to view your created NFT.
